If you want a minibus in Barcelona with a driver, we list 73 hire companies based within 20 km of the city, 23 of them in Barcelona itself. Their weighted Google rating is 4.06 over 4,035 reviews, and 21 score 4.5 or more with at least 10 reviews. Compare seats, hours and website languages, then send one request to up to three companies.
Choosing a minibus in Barcelona is less about the vehicle and more about the day around it: how many people, how much luggage, how many stops and how late the return. This guide covers the questions we would ask before sending a quote request. The company cards above hold the data, and the guide below helps you read it.
Minibus hire with driver in Barcelona
A minibus with driver means a licensed professional drives and you choose the route within the quote. It suits groups too big for a van and too small to justify a full coach: a family of 12 at the airport, 20 wedding guests going to a masia (a Catalan country house) outside the city, a team on a weekend tournament.
We list 73 companies within 20 km. By town, Barcelona has 23, L'Hospitalet de Llobregat 9, Sant Boi de Llobregat 6 and Badalona 5. Only 6 of the 73 state a fleet size on their own websites, and 14 mention PMR-adapted vehicles, so ask for details instead of assuming. Seat counts named on websites run from 3 to 90, which shows that "minibus" means different vehicles at different companies.
Which minibus size for which group?
The table below matches group size to the vehicle type most often named on the companies' websites. It is a starting point for your request, not a promise about any one vehicle.

If you are moving a group from the airport, our airport transfer page compares companies by terminal and hours. For one or two travellers, a chauffeur service may suit better.
Our shortlist
These picks use only the data shown in the lists, and they answer different needs.
- Autocares Vista Bus in Barcelona (5 stars, 103 reviews) names seat counts of 6, 19, 25, 30, 35, 55 and 60 on its website, so one company can cover several group sizes. Its website is in Spanish and English.
- Singh minibus Barcelona in Viladecans has 5 stars over 66 reviews, lists minibuses and vans, and says on its website it has operated since 2003.
- Limusina Barcelona in L'Hospitalet has the largest review count in the top 10 (513, rated 4.8) and lists Google hours from 8 am to late evening, with Sunday shorter.
- VIP Montpe Tours in Polinyà is rated 4.9 over 58 reviews and shows Google hours from 7 am to 11 pm every day.
- Pandabus has a website in Spanish, English and Chinese, which helps if your group's organiser reads Chinese.
- Autocares Badabus mentions PMR or wheelchair-adapted vehicles on its website.
Minibus rental companies in Barcelona
The companies are not all alike. Some are traditional coach operators with minibuses in the fleet, such as Autocorb, which says it has operated since 1922. Others are transfer and limousine firms with 8 to 16 seat vehicles. Google categories show this: "Bus charter" and "Bus company" point to coach operators, "Minibus taxi service" and "Chauffeur service" to smaller transfer firms. Pick by the service you need, not by the word minibus in a name.
Website languages matter too. In our lists, most companies publish in Spanish only, a smaller group adds English, and a few add Catalan, French or Chinese. The quote form works in English.
How long can the driver work?
A minibus driver on a long day is bound by the same rules as a coach driver. The European Commission's driving time and rest periods page summarises Regulation (EC) 561/2006: a 9-hour daily driving limit, extendable to 10 hours twice a week, and a break of at least 45 minutes after 4.5 hours of driving. For a day trip with several hours on the road each way, ask how the company plans breaks and whether a second driver is needed.
Picking up at the airport
If your minibus meets the group at El Prat, give the terminal and flight number in your request. Aena's page on the free transport between terminals says the shuttle between T1 and T2 runs 24 hours a day and takes about 10 minutes from T1 to T2 B or C and about 14 minutes the other way. That helps when part of a group lands at a different terminal: agree one meeting point with the driver instead of splitting the pick-up.
Also tell the company how many suitcases and large items the group carries. A 16-seat minibus full of people often has little luggage space left, and some groups need a second vehicle or a trailer. It is a common surprise on arrival, and a simple question in the first message avoids it.
What to ask before you book
Ask these in the first message, so the replies are comparable:
- How many seats does the vehicle assigned to me have, and how many suitcases fit?
- Are tolls, parking and waiting time included?
- What is the price if my flight is delayed or the group leaves late?
- Is there air conditioning, and are seat belts fitted on all seats?
- Who is the operator, and can you give the company name and address?
- How do I pay, and what is the cancellation rule?
Red flags
- A fixed price with no questions about your route.
- A vehicle described only as "minibus" with no seat count.
- No company name on the quote.
- A deposit requested to a personal account.
